Bo-jutsu is a classical martial art utilizing a long stick (staff) with the length of around 180cm (approx. 70 inches). There have been many bo-jutsu styles throughout Japan since the ancient times. The Bo-jutsu we research, practice and teach is based upon the Shotokan Karate originated in the ancient art of Shuri-te practiced by the samurais of the old Okinawa (Ryukyu).-jutsu is a classical martial art utilizing a long stick (staff) with the length of around 180cm (approx. 70 inches). This class focuses on moving meditation aspects of the ancient martial art. Practice consists mainly of kihon (basics) and kata (forms).
Bo-jutsu Class Hours:

We currently offer Okinawan bo-jutsu as part of Okinawan Karate & Kobudo class on Tuesdays 6pm and Thursdays 7pm. Instructer is Sensei Meltem Pekin of Shorin-ryu.
Class Fee: Single Class Drop-in $40 / Weekly Pass $120 / Unlimited Monthly Pass $200
Students must hold at least a green belt in karate to attend this class.
